Federer will defend the title in the final to Nishikori

Switzerland's Roger Federer, defending champion, beat compatriot Stanislas Wawrinka, by 7-6 (5), 6-2, and reached the final of Basel for the sixth time in his career.

Federer will defend the title against Japan's Kei Nishikori, who beat the first seeded Serbian Novak Djokovic, who, injured, fell in three sets (2-6, 7-6 (4) and 6-0).

Former world number one who aspires to its fifth title in his hometown, only lost the 2009 final, Djokovic, 'took an hour and 27 minutes in defeating his compatriot, who condemned the irregularity.

Wawrinka did not finish to complete the reaction. In the first set tied 5-2 and one disadvantage of the playoff took the manga, where he was beaten by Federer, who had no trouble in the second set.
