A carrot and sand in Phuket Baquerizo and Steiner

The Spanish pair formed by Elsa Baquerizo and Liliana Fernandez Steiner unevenly began his career Thursday in the tournament in Phuket (Thailand), last date for the Beach Volleyball World Tour.

The current champions of Spain, which start as a fourth seed in the sand Asian, added a win and one defeat in their opening two games, so this Friday will play for not being eliminated early.

Thus, Madrid and Alicante began with good feelings and disposed by a clear two sets to love the Italian duo-Giombini Orsi Toth, who easily defeated with partial 21-16 and 21-11.

However, this superiority could not be further transmitted to the Czech-Klapalova Hajeckova, thirteenth Phuket favorite, although it did with the first set with authority 21-16. But the Central European narrowly prevailed in the second (19-21) and were more successful in the 'sudden death', which led by 11-15.

Now, in order to go "live" in the Thai tournament, Liliana Fernandez Steiner and Elsa Baquerizo must win this Friday at Brazilian Lili Vieira, fourteenth seeded.
