The Czech tennis player and world number six, Tomas Berdych, has achieved its mathematical classification for the Masters Cup, which takes place in London between 20 and 27 November and will face the eight best players of the circuit.

Berdych has achieved the classification after the Argentine Juan Martin del Potro fell in the semifinals of the Valencia Open 500 before the Spanish Marcel Granollers. Thus, the Czech achieved sixth place for the Masters Cup, while the other two were decided in the 1000 Paris Masters.

This season, Berdych has won the tournament in Beijing, his first title since May 2009. In addition, he managed to reach the semifinals in six ATP tournaments and the quarterfinals seven times, including the Australia Open.

"You feel very well after qualifying for the second consecutive year. It was one of my goals in early 2011 and my results have been very consistent this season. I have very fond memories of O2, the event was amazing last year and hope to do better this time, "stated Berdych.
