Tsonga followed Marti suffering to the fray in Valencia

Javier Martí signed a good game in his second participation in the Valencia Open, but ended up succumbing in three sets against Jo-Wilfred Tsonga in a clash played at third day of competition full of Spanish at stake.

Javier Marti had never faced a 'Top Ten' in his professional career, but the drawing table where he acted with 'wild card' debut in Valencia wanted to Jo-Wilfred Tsonga , number 7 in the world and recent champion Vienna tournament. After a busy start of the match, the French ended up solving the duel in his favor with an aggregate score of 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 after two hours and fifteen minutes of play. The Spaniard showed in the first game of the match was not a walk in the Agora, signing a blank game and closing it with an ace. It was a mirage, because the rest had their options. French got out of his wits with a stylish and haunting reverse network. It was a rest upside direct parallel with Marti signed the first break of the match which also meant the first set on his payroll.

After the break came the reaction of Tsonga, too erratic with his right, picky when discussing bad boats (in Valencia there is no 'Hawkeye') and complain about the light coming at noon at the top of the track . Still known tune bagpipes, be more regular and equalize the contest. The third set, and with Javier 'deflated', was won comfortably by Tsonga, which will rival in the second round to American Sam Querrey , who deshixo Latvian Ernests Gulbis 6-3, 6-4 in one hour and eleven minutes of play.

For the rest of the day included the victory of the South African Kevin Anderson at the Slovakian Martin Klizan (6-1, 6-4).
