Rosell: "Our league has too many clubs"

Sandro Rosell, president of FC Barcelona, attended the conference 'International Football Arena' in Zurich in which he stated his desire to have fewer clubs in the Spanish league. "Our championship has too many clubs," has ruled.

Laporta has said that the best option would be a league with 16 teams. "We should reduce it to 20 and 18, and then to 16", he said.

In another vein, Rosell has shown its opposition to foreign citizens, as the case of Malaga and Racing Santander, were owners of the clubs.

It has also given its opinion on the controversy of the distribution of television rights. "It's the only league in which TV rights are negotiated individually and at some point in the next three or four or five years we should sit and how to change the distribution is made in the Serie A and Premier League," concluded .
