Hamilton dominates Vettel and Alonso crashes

McLaren-Mercedes dominated the second free practice session in the same way during the morning session. Lewis Hamilton ruled the trial ahead of Jenson Button, who finished the first round as the fastest on the grid. The two Ferrari seconded to McLaren, Fernando Massa third and fourth. Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso had their day.

The second free practice session was an ordeal for both. The world champion suffered a small accident in the first curve left, left elbow, and after touching anything left Red Bull was transferred to the pits by a crane, forcing him to miss almost half German hour session off. Eventually, she measures out again with the Red Bull and to make sure everything was in order.

Fernando was also longer in the same place as the champion. Missing just over 10 minutes to the end of the round when the Spaniard went long and the curve and hit the rear skidding protections. The Ferrari was disabled and had to leave the pits on foot and without options to continue. Ferrari had planned to try a long run with a lot of fuel.

Michael Schumacher was another who suffered unspeakable throughout the session, slipping over and over again in different parts of the circuit. However, his blunders did not have any consequences. Alguersuari completed a discrete action finished 14th, two places behind his teammate, Sebastian Buemi.
