Clara Sanchez wins in the opening World Cup

The Frenchwoman Clara Sanchez confirmed his status as favorite and took the victory in the keirin in the inaugural World Cup track cycling, which took place in Astana. Sanchez, winner of his specialty the last edition, again showed his power by winning ahead of Kristina Vogel and Russian Ekaterina Gnidenko, while the world champion in the discipline, the Australian Anna Meares, could only be sixth.

In the last day in the Kazakh capital, Australians and Glenn Alexander Edmonson Oshea beat Madison with 22 points, eight more than the Swiss Silvan Dillier / Loic Perizzolo, and completed the podium with twelve Russian Artur Ershov / Kirill Sveshnikov. Britain's Chris Hoy was exhibited in the sprint, winning the final against Russian Denis Dmitriev, and won the women's Omnium Romanyuta Russian Evgeniya ahead of another Briton, Dani King. The Spanish Juan Peralta was thirtieth in sprint and keirin thirteenth in Calvo Tania.
