Clos, twelfth in the first round in Abu Dhabi

Jean-Eric Vergne, at the wheel of a Red Bull, was the fastest on the first day of tests for young drivers being developed at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi. The Frenchman, who led 83 laps, clocking a best time of 1:40.011. Meanwhile, Spanish Dani Clos, who drives a HRT, was twelfth with 1:45.329 after 68 laps.

Clos, which climbed to a Formula 1 in September 2008 in the Williams FW30, had the chance to ride all day, something you can not do this Wednesday as share the F111 with French Nathanael Berthon. The Spanish rider rolled over five seconds faster.

Vergne, 21 and this season runner-up in the Formula Renault 3.5 World Series, took the opportunity to drive the best car in F1 to be the fastest. Behind him stood another Frenchman, Jules Bianchi, who was a Ferrari nearly a second for first place.
