Calderon: "The NBA is going to be just as competitive this season"

The Spanish player of the Toronto Raptors, Jose Calderon, said today that the upcoming NBA season will be "just as competitive as in previous years," although reducing the number of matches.

Calderon was speaking in his hometown, in Villanueva de la Serena (Badajoz), during a press conference to present the renewal of the agreement with Banca Pueyo.

On the release of the NBA, the international player has warned that, at present, there is agreement in principle.

"We have every confidence in our representatives to all comes to fruition," he added.

Calderon he was "very pleased" with his return to competition and has advanced to return to Toronto next Sunday, December 4th to begin training the next day in September and the league on the 25th.

For basketball, the league "will be just as competitive but has been reduced from 82 games to 66, are 16 less, just a month of competition."
