Figo: "Cristiano Critics do not understand anything about football"

The Portuguese Luis Figo exfutbolista defended his countryman Cristiano Ronaldo, widely criticized for its understated performance in the defeat of Real Madrid against Barcelona on Saturday.

"I think a professional football has good moments and some not so good. Those who criticize Christian understand nothing about football. A player can not please everyone," he said, as part of an initiative by the 'Fundación Luis Figo 'in Madeira.

Also defended the figure of the Portuguese, "a symbol of the island, which represents the best culture of Madeira", while declined comment on his "performance" as captain: "Each has its own way to be, "he said.

On the other hand, on the Euro, in which the 'tuga' face off in the first phase with the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark, Figo was hopeful. "It's hard to choose rival. Portugal has always been better with tough opponents, so I think we can make a big Euro" he said.
