The Mexican boxer Juan Manuel Marquez, super champion of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), announced his retirement later this year, is realized or not a fourth fight against Filipino Manny Pacquiao.
"We're going this year, whether or not it is the fourth fight with Pacquiao: we go. I have nothing to prove. Everyone knows what I can and I'm calm," said Marquez media. "I will continue with my schedule, in April, 14 or 21, possibly before the Argentine Cesar Cuenca in Mexico City, another fight in July and November talking about another fight, if Pacquiao, if not, no problem and we retired, "he said.
He said he put a limit this year for the Philippines to accept the fourth fight. "But to not accept it and gave the answer, if not for fear the fight would have been arranged immediately." The boxer, with 19 years as a professional boxer, said he is about to close its cycle in boxing.
"The time, the family and I, with 28 years dedicated to boxing, I ask. Also looking to start a cycle to one hundred percent, stay focused on what needs to be done," Marquez said in reference to their possible application to public office by the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). He said that does not have a formal offer PRI for a possible candidacy in federal elections next July 1, which will renew the 500 deputies and 128 senators in Congress.
