Tiger Woods returned to show signs of being nearly invincible player two years ago, but despite his good performance could not prevent the victory of Greg Chalmers local in Australia Open courses.
Woods began the final journey to six strokes of the leader, but three birdies on the first nine holes made around the world directed their gaze toward the former world number one. A bogey on hole 11 fixed it immediately with another birdie at 12, while the 13 re-signed another bogey (one over par the hole).
A 'eagle' (two strokes less on a par five hole) made to revive the spotlight on Woods's game, but that ended the streak to end by signing a card of 67 strokes which earned him third place in the tournament after the Australian Chalmers, who excelled in two shots, and John Senden made one less in the total count.
