Kipsang, 29, had warned in a press conference before the race he was able to break the world record. After running 42,195 meters, only three measly seconds have separated from it. Kipsang came to go under the world record in the half marathon (1 hour was spent in 1:40, four seconds faster than the previous record) and also at kilometer 25 , here with nine seconds of advance.
Kipsang The brand is the second of all time , and relegates the legendary Ethiopian Haile Gebrselassie to the third ranking position in history. The Kenyan had this year 2h 06:13 (one tenth of global lists), but was credited to 2h 4:57 from last year, also in Frankfurt.
