Feliciano save a bad day

Feliciano Lopez debuted with a win over Michael Llodra worked at the Masters 1000 in Paris, where he will face Gael Monfils now one who has won the 'head-to-head'. Meanwhile, Marcel Granollers had to withdraw due to injury to Jeremy Chardy.

Feliciano Lopez ended a losing streak of three straight losses (Shanghai, Orleans, Valencia) to win his debut in Paris at the local Michael Llodra by an aggregate score of 7-6 (7), 6-3 in one hour and thirty and eight minutes in the clash played on Center Court at the Palais Omnisports. After one and another to display their finery in the first act, which does not break the service, the set had to be solved in a tie-break attack. The Gallic magic allowed him to take a 6-2 lead, however, not carried out. Llodra missed four 'set points', on the contrary that a Feliciano was found with a gift as a double fault which meant sending the first set of his locker.

The French morale slump deepened to give the first four games of a second act resolved soon. Feliciano, despite his opponent to see how close the gap, always gave the feeling of controlling the situation and had no trouble putting the finishing touch on Spanish-French duel. With this victory, Feliciano managed to reverse the situation that had led him to be removed at the first hurdle in Paris the last two seasons (both against Arnaud Clement ). In second round, will face Toledo with another Frenchman, Gael Monfils, who won in the only precedent between the two, the semi-finals in Johannesburg 2010 (3-6, 6-1, 7-6), event who would win the Spanish.

Meanwhile, Marcel Granollers , brand new Valencia Open champion, had to leave due to injury (pain in his right ankle) against Frenchman Jeremy Chardy , before which gave the first set by 6-3 before taking the decision.

Meanwhile, Garcia Lopez followed the same path and was eliminated in second round. The Spanish could not beat Tsonga, who lost in two sets (6-3, 6-4).
